Nowadays many people have access to computers on a wide basis and a large number of children play computer games. Do these positive effects of playing games on computers by children outweigh the negative effects?

Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.

Nowadays, accessing to computers has been a wide basis for many people and a large number of children play computer games. From my perspective, these advantages do not outweigh the negative effects.
First and foremost, children are easily to get addicted to computer games, so instead of studying and doing homework, they spend their time playing games on computers. As a result, their score gets worse over time, this makes not only students sad but also their parents. Second, looking at the screen for a long time is not good for kids' eyes and health, they cannot see things as clear as before, and have to wear glasses. Research once pointed out that children who usually play games are more likely to have problems with their eyes.
Third, although sometimes playing games can make children more creative, they usually make them feel tired later. This is because children just sit in one place to play games instead of doing some actual activity. Another reason is that most of them play through night, so they don't sleep to save energy for the next day. Last but not least, after playing games for a long time, children can think that they are actually heroes and do some dangerous activities like climbing to the rooftop. There was a newspaper about two high schools' student kidnapped a kid after playing games through 7 days without eating or sleeping.
In conclusion, in my opinion, the benefits of playing games on computer by children cannot outweigh the drawbacks
